Blues minor pentatonic is a great change to the standard pentatonic minor. The addition of the b5 gives an extra surprise.
As you build you solos work on your Phrasing. Below in Figure 2 you will see a quick example of how to build a simple 2 bar (measure) phrase. Have fun with the scale and be creative. During the v (F#m7) and V (F7) play with the Chromatic 4, b5, V as a turn.
